well have a grin on your face when you say it. Wherever you land, you now know what road to take. It is no longer a question of God’s will; it has now become a question of your own willpower. What has to be done next may not be easy, but at least the fog will have lifted.
rest and trust. You have to trust the voice that you hear within. That voice, even though it sounds a lot

like your own and therefore not necessarily known for its wisdom, is the echo of the whisper of the voice of God that, as the psalmist said, “whispered you into being deep in the depths of the earth when you were knit together in secret in your mother’s womb.”
That voice within you, that echo, is also a gift from God, and it is to be trusted.
“Be not afraid” is what we have been told. We do not have to be right about God, we have only to belong to God.
God is always faithful, but one suspects that those who are patient in the fog may well see more clearly, more quickly, what new thing is being done in the fog than those who are impatient. You may be in a hurry, but God may not be.
The fog will lift. It may be a while, but it will lift.
